Filler grinding to prepare high-gloss paints
In order to avoid grinding rings on the surface after high-gloss polishing, Mirka recommends sanding with a Mirka random orbit sander (D 150 mm, 2.5 mm or 5.0 mm stroke) in combination with Abranet net abrasives in order to achieve the best possible suction performance and surface quality. The additional use of control powder serves to optimally grind out the filler.
Pre-sanding for processing orange peel and imperfections
with Microstar foil discs, grain 1500. Mirka recommends using a Mirka eccentric sander (D 150 mm, 2.5 mm or 5.0 mm stroke). Clean the surface with the microfiber polishing cloth.
Final sanding and polishing preparation
Sand the surface to be worked with Abralon grit 3000 wet or dry. Then clean the surface with the microfibre polishing cloth.
